Medellin is the most innovative city in the world in 2012
City of The Year: In a competition sponsored by the Wall Street Journal and Citigroup Medellin has won the title of most innovative city in the world. Medellin was named the most innovative city in the world on March 1st, 2013. The Metro, Metro Plus, and Metro Cable system have opened up the city to people high up in the hillsides. Libraries, schools, and community centers have been built in low income level neighborhoods. Medellin has proven to be a city inspiring innovation, investments, and entrepreneurship. Congratulations Medellin!
